Irfan The German Market introduced the Chevrolet Aveo based on the Korean design. It was a stateside for the model of the year 2004. And now an innovative version of the Aveo called Aveo sedan is launched for the year 2007. In spite of its attractive face and unmarked frills, the latest version of the Aveo is best on drivability, luxury and above all the overall value.
The exterior of the earlier version of the Aveo was stylized by the Italian designer Giugiaro, whereas the current year Aveo is available in the German Market’s in-house mold. When you look from a distance, its big headlights and grille can be taken as the Cobalt version of the Chevrolet, and the chromium covered rear gives the appearance of a small sized Malibu with Ford lights. It’s a neat and fresh style, but it’s surely not as unique as before.
Riding in the Aveo that owns a 97.6-inch wheelbase, about 170 inches long — 3 inches larger than its earlier version. Height and width improves 0.4 and 1.6 inches and makes for fabulous Aveo performance. This is exactly the way Aveo loads to outdo against 4-doors version. The buyers might also go for a hatchback of entry-level as all the Aveo competitors add an altered hatchback and the Suzuki Reno and Honda Fit are available only as hatchbacks.
Like many of its rivals, the Aveo offers a separate front suspension. The setup on the front adds a stabilizer bar. The Chevrolet manufacturers claim that the suspension mechanism is tuned to assist in handling. 14-inch steel wheels are considered as standard, whereas the fifteen-inch alloys come as optional. The steering response is moderately good, and when you take a turn, it doesn’t impress you. And when you go at low speeds, the steering gives low support. And it needs comparatively more effort while parking than the bigger version of the Chevrolet, Cobalt.
Some of the 2007 Aveo features have been taken from models of the last year. It simply means that all cars have a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine. It delivers 103 hp at 5,800 rpm and it comes with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed transmission. The feed back of the accelerator is instant, avoiding the car from going underpowered while traveling. Though when you push the engine hard, it produces somewhat buzz sounds specifically as the speed increases. The automatic transmission gets transfer sleekly when you lower down the speeds, but while going on the highway it puts all its efforts to remain in 4th gear. There’s a button on the gearshift that makes for fall of the transmission down to 3rd, when hold down. This button can also confine the car to 2nd or first gear. Brakes on the front and rear discs come as standard, whereas the ABS is considered as optional; 4-wheel-disc brakes aren’t offered now.
The Aveo offers restraints of head for the occupants of rear and front seats. Restraints on the front can be tilted in a forward direction. It’s a feature that is capable of lessening the intensity of a sudden jerk if used in a proper way. Safety features for kids add 2 lower seat anchors to hold safely in each of the rear seats. On the shelf of the backseat all the 3 positions have clearly marked rope like restraints.
